Saraki Replies Not Too Young To Run, Says Declaration ‘Made In Good Faith’

Senate President Dr Bukola Saraki has expressed sadness over the death of a former Minister of Works and Housing who was also one of the founding members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Anthony Anenih.

The Senate President took to Twitter to eulogize the late Anenih, stating that he will be remembered for his great patriotism and his insight into national issues.

“Chief Tony Anenih was a consummate elder statesman who played several defining roles throughout Nigeria’s democracy.
“He will be remembered for his great patriotism and his insight into national issues.

“He will be dearly missed. Rest in Peace, Chief,” the Senate President wrote.

Chief Anenih died on Sunday evening at the Cedar Crest Hospital in Abuja the nation’s capital, where he was said to be receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.

He died at the age of 85.
