The Federal High Court sitting in Ilorin has affirmed Senator Rafiu Ibrahim as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Kwara South senatorial constituency.
In a ruling on Tuesday, Justice Babagana Ashigar noted that the state Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, had written earlier of his intention to withdraw from the race.
According to him, as a result, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had no alternative than to substitute his name with that of Raqfiu Ibrahim submitted by the PDP.
