The Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum has hailed the outgoing Service Chiefs for their contributions to the development of the country.

Governor Zulum on Tuesday noted that the Service Chiefs helped in the fight against insurgency and acknowledged their efforts in the growth of the nation at large.

“This is something that normally happens in a government; they have been with us in the past 4 to six years and I think they have contributed their quota to the development of the nation.

“The Chief of Army staff and the Air Chief, both of Northeast extraction served gallantly and deserved commendations”, he added.

The governor said he looks forward to working with the new appointees particularly the Chief of Defense Staff General Lucky Irabor and the Chief of Army Staff Major General Attahiru who both served as Theatre Commanders in Borno state.

“Everything has an appointed time by God so we are wishing them all the best, same for those that have been newly appointed”.
