The All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership of Akko/Dukku/Billiri and Yamaltu/Deba local government areas (LGAs) of Gombe State has endorsed the expulsion of Senator Danjuma Goje by his Kashere Ward party leaders.

Goje was expelled by ward executives of the party last week over allegations of indulging in anti-party activities during the 2023 elections.

The party listed some of the infractions by the former governor to include failure to attend the APC presidential campaign rally in the state.

Other reasons for the expulsion given were Goje’s alleged failure to attend the state APC campaign rally and tours; and fraternising with the governorship candidate of an opposition party in the last elections.

Addressing journalists on Thursday, the APC chairmen said disciplinary measures against party members and officials who commit anti-party activities before, during and after the 2023 general elections were in order.

Usman Ahmed Kumo and that of Yamaltu/Deba council Ali Isma’ila said they had deliberated on the decision taken by the Kashere ward leadership of the party and had endorsed their action.
