Three persons have died and several others trapped under the rubble after a building crumbled in the Kuntau area of Gwale Local Government of Kano State.
Two more people were rescued from the building. An earth-moving vehicle was spotted in the area as operations to rescue the trapped persons intensified.
But officials have not commented on the matter as of the time of this report.
The head of search and rescue from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Abdulhadi Tukur, said they were able to rescue two people alive, and the rescue operation would continue until everyone is out.
According to the ward head, Balarabe Nasidi, the building which allegedly belongs to a former local council chairman, was not properly constructed.
