The Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries has denied claims that the church framed up its former members identified as Femi Jimoh and Caleb Oloruntele over an alleged planned attack against the church.

This follows the narration of three individuals who testified against the former members in court over the alleged act on how the duo approached them to as for their assistance on how to hire a gun to rob the “first fruits” offering of the church in the year 2008.

Identified as Akeem Omojomolo, Tajudeen Usein, and Fatai Adebayo, the individuals revealed how they played along in the plot, leading to the arrest of the duo.

In an earlier interview, Jimoh had accused the church of being behind his imprisonment for nine years without trial, over alleged armed robbery.

According to him, he was framed by the church. He added that his trial started when he met the chief security officer of MFM founder, Pastor Daniel Olukoya, at a native doctor’s house.

Caleb, on his part, during an interview, said Olukoya wanted him dead because he refused to give false testimony against a pastor he identified as Femi Agboola.

He claimed to have been prosecuted in 2008 without any concrete evidence to prove the allegation against him.

Meanwhile, the Chief Legal Adviser of the church, Davidson Adejuwon, who addressed journalists last week Friday, said the duo had created some misconceptions among a section of the public.

According to him, their claims of being locked up in jail for nine years for an offence they did not commit was false, mischievous and cruel.

“Let me quickly and briefly address the lies being told to the public on this issue which has created a number of JO some misconceptions among a scction O the public. One of them is that MFM as Church and its General Overseer, Dr Daniel Olukoya have no forgiving spirit. a Mr Femi Jimoh is a perfect case study to prove that MFM as a church and its General Overseer are unrepentant forgivers.

“While at this ministry he had serially (more than three instances) got himself involved in one offense or the other at every branch he was posted to serve. He was being redeployed back to the Headquarters ad changed. Permit me to read two of such letters in support here for internal discipline after which he would be posted out belicving he had of this fact showins, that he was a serial offender…. If not magnanimity, what other reason or factor would make an organization to keep forgiveness and chance after every offence committed? giving s offending staff another chance and another chance and another

“Another lie being circulated to paint the church as being wicked and evil is that the General Overseer kept this Mr Femi Jimoh and his co-conspirator Mr Caleb in iail for 9 years despite the plea and beg from his mother. Here with me 1s the Judgement of the court on the criminal trial which stated clearly on the first page that he Was granted bail but the refused to perfect their bail. now read the words of the Judge…. Clearly from here, all that was expected of Mr, Jimoh, his mother and relatives as well as Caleb and his relatives was to get credible sureties to mect the bail condition which does not include payment of any sum as being misunderstood by majority ot people who are not lawyers, Is it not curious to push a narrative that Dr Olukoya, the Gencral Overseer locked them up when all members of their family refused to get two individuals for 9 years to stand as their sureties for them to be released?

“Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) is a responsible church that takes the welfare, safety and security of all its members very seriously. As such of planned armed attack on credible intelligence against the church caSe which could have led to the death of any member S not one that can be treated and handled internally by the church. We have duty to report such to the law enforcement agency saddled with the responsibilities to investigate and deal with such issues And that was exactly what we did as a responsible -hurch, All other events that transpired thereafter at the police station and during trial were completely out of the control of the church because being criminal matter, became a case between the State (i.e.government) and the Defendants.

“The MFM Church and its General Overseer, Dr Danicl Olukoya did not jail Mr Femi Jimoh and Caleb Oloruntele or any other person for 9 years or for any period at all. What purpose will it serve or what does the church stand to gain by framing up two of his ministers? It is absurd to imagine that a church as big as MFM will go so low to frame up two of its pastors just because of a claim (which is false) that a CSO of the church was seen in an herbalist house, MFM Church and its General Overseer, Dr Olukoya remain committed to the welfare as well as spiritual and physical welbeing and development of its members and the humanity at large.

“As a matter of fact, the DPP was going to appeal the decision discharging them but the G.0. having regards to the period the trial lasted prevailed against the appeal from the DPP, While we continue to s show kindness and forgiveness to our erring staffs and rehabilitating such erring staff, MFM and its General Overseer will not use its fold to harbour or hide anyone with any criminal intent and motive capable to harm others. Thank you for coming and listening.”
