The founding National Secretary of the Alliance for Democracy, Prof Udenta Udenta, on Monday, said talks about a running mate for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election is a humiliation of Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Prof Udenta, a distinguished fellow of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, was a guest on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme.

According to him, the fact that governors and other stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) endorsed Tinubu for a second term but left out Shettima showed that the party has a plan underway.

He faulted the APC for saying Tinubu’s running mate would be decided after the party’s convention, saying it ought not to be so.
