Iyabo Ojo’s Daughter, Priscilla, Tanzanian Singer Jux Set To Welcome First Child

The celebrity couple's relationship first gained attention in September 2024 when photos of them in Nigeria surfaced online, with even more buzz following their lavish wedding in early 2025.

Three months after the celebrity couple’s highly publicised wedding, Nigerian influencer and entrepreneur Priscilla Ojo and her Tanzanian husband, singer Juma Jux, have announced that they are expecting their first child.

Priscilla, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, broke the news on Thursday via her Instagram handle, sharing a series of stunning maternity photos with her husband.

In one of the images, Jux is seen kissing her baby bump, while others show the couple in joyful, intimate poses, both dressed in white tops and blue jeans.

She captioned the post, “Mom & Dad. Blessed, Grateful, Thankful.”

The announcement was quickly met with a wave of congratulatory messages from fans, celebrities, and family members.

Iyabo Ojo, the expectant grandmother, also took to Instagram to express her joy, writing, “@juma_jux & @its.priscy, my darlings, I soak and cover you in the blood of Jesus. Your joy is permanent & your home is blessed in Jesus name. Congratulations. Sexiest grandma loaded.”

Shortly after the reveal, some social media users questioned the timing of the pregnancy, suggesting Priscilla might have reportedly conceived before marriage.

But addressing the speculation, the 24-year-old influencer clarified that she and Jux were already legally married before their public wedding celebrations in 2025.

“Womb watchers and calculators. Another confusion for you. This was the first time we actually got married after our private introduction last year. We were already married before the Nikkah we posted—that was to celebrate with friends and family members,” she noted.

Priscilla also shared an unseen photo from their earlier Islamic wedding (Nikkah), which reportedly took place in 2024. The actress emphasised that she and her spouse chose to keep their actual wedding discreet and only later held a public ceremony to celebrate with loved ones.

The news has continued to trend across social media platforms, with fans and well-wishers celebrating the young couple’s new journey into parenthood.

The couple’s relationship first came into the spotlight in September 2024 when photos of them surfaced online during Jux’s visit to Nigeria.

However, their love story began earlier that year during a work trip to Rwanda, where Jux and Priscilla first met. A missed flight led to a chance encounter at the airport, and through a mutual friend, they started talking.

By June 2024, dating rumours began when she appeared in his music video Maboss, and in July 2024, Priscilla confirmed the relationship with an Instagram post captioned “Mine.” The Tanzanian singer again dedicated a track to her, Oluolufe Mi, where he featured Diamond Platnumz.

His arrival in Nigeria was marked by a lavish welcome, and he was later hosted by Priscilla’s mother, Iyabo Ojo, in an event that generated widespread media attention.

Their traditional engagement took place in Lagos in April 2025, following an Islamic wedding in Tanzania in February 2025.

The grand finale of their four-part celebration occurred on 28 May 2025 in Tanzania, drawing top personalities and capturing significant online buzz.

The wedding ceremonies—spanning two locations in Nigeria, one in Tanzania, and a final destination venue—were attended by numerous celebrities including Mercy Aigbe, Toyin Abraham, Destiny Etiko and many more. A notable moment was the appearance of 83-year-old Juju legend, Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey, who thrilled guests at one of the ceremonies.

Meanwhile, earlier in July, Priscilla made headlines when she alleged that a fire incident at her mother’s Lagos office was the result of a targeted attack. According to her, the incident was linked to a threat letter received during their wedding celebrations in Tanzania.

She disclosed via her Instagram Story that the anonymous letter—signed by a group calling itself ‘Aggrieved Group’—warned of an impending attack on her family and vowed to sabotage her marriage.

Juma Jux, born in 1989 in Dar es Salaam, began his music journey at 16 and rose to fame as a popular East African singer. Priscilla Ojo, born in 2001, studied Media and Theatre Arts at Babcock University and earned a Best Child Actress nomination at 14 for her role in Beyond Disability.
