‘It Wasn’t My Fault,’ Victor Boniface Unfazed By Failed AC Milan Move

The Nigerian was expected to team up with Rossoneri in the summer transfer window. The move failed owing to medical issues with the Super Eagle, fueling speculations over his fitness.

Victor Boniface is yet to set the ball running in his Super Eagles career.

Super Eagles forward, Victor Boniface, is unmoved over his failed transfer to Italian giants, AC Milan.

The Nigerian was expected to team up with Rossoneri in the summer transfer window. The move failed owing to medical issues with the Super Eagle, fueling speculations over his fitness.

However, the 24-year-old has downplayed the failed move during his unveiling at Werder Bremen whom he joined on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.

“Whatever you want to believe in the media, you can believe them, that’s not on me… I don’t care. If my body is not 100%, I will be in the hospital. I will not be here talking to you,” he said during his unveiling.

“It wasn’t my fault; they decided not to pursue it. I have a strong mentality: it happens, it’s okay, I’ll move on,” the striker said.
