The Commissioner of Police in Niger State, Shawulu Danmaman, on Saturday dismissed reports of fatalities during the #EndBadGovernance protests in Suleja area of the state.

Speaking to journalists in Minna, Danmaman said that he has not received any reports of loss of life during the protests, contrary to earlier claims from some sections of the media.

He, however, confirmed that there were instances of vandalism and looting of properties at the secretariat of Tafa Local Government Area.

The CP disclosed this shortly after returning from Suleja and Tafa Local Government Areas, where he assessed the situation.

The #EndBadGovernance protests have been ongoing nationwide, with reports of violence in some states.

In Minna, there was normal vehicular and business activities with no case of placard-carrying protesters.
