Senate President Godswill Akpabio says President Bola Tinubu is disheartened by the state of opposition parties in Nigeria, which he described as “in disarray.”

He spoke on Wednesday during the commissioning of the newly constructed Interchange Bridge of Arterial Road N20 in Abuja.

Akpabio said, “The President is very interested in seeing a vibrant opposition. It saddens him when he sees the opposition in disarray.”

He added that both the PDP and Labour Party were facing internal crises, saying members “cannot manage small parties yet want to run the country.”

He also confirmed Senator Neda Imasuen had joined the APC from the Labour Party earlier that day.
