The Abia State Governor has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to follow the guidelines contained in the Electoral Act for the conduct of elections and apply same in the interest of all participants and the citizenry.

In a state broadcast, Governor Theodore Orji commended the state residents for their peaceful conduct before and during the 2015 general elections.

He therefore, called on the electoral body to put their house in order and do all that is necessary to announce the outcome of the governorship and House of Assembly elections without further delay.

Governor Orji, however, urged parents to keep an eye on their wards and appealed to the candidates and politicians to make peace their watch word.
