Eight schools have qualified for the quarter-final of the Channels International Kids Cup after their last group matches at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.

Paragon Demonstration after their victory

In Group A, Paragon Demonstration from Edo State beat Community Primary School, Abule Egba 4-1 to qualify for the next round while XPlanter from Ikorodu picked the second quarter-final slot in the group at the expense of Islamic Primary School from Osun, following a 2-0 win.

The top of the table clash in Group B between already qualified LGEA Jafaaru Primary School from Kaduna and Burhanudeen Primary School from Kwara ended 1-1 on Wednesday, just as World Book Model from Rivers beat St. Augustine from Ekiti 2-1.

Ghanaian school, Abeka 4 Basic advanced to the quarter-finals from Group C after playing a 2-2 draw with Islamiya Primary School from Kogi in their last group game.

Also, through to the next round are the lads from African Church Primary School, Ogun State after a 1-1 draw with Turaki Model from Sokoto.

Mowoe Primary School from Delta and Community Primary School from Imo are also through after 1-1 and 2-0 scorelines in their last Group D games.

In the quarter-final, Paragon Demonstration will play African Church Primary School and Abeka 4 Basic School will take on XPlanter Private School.

Community Primary School, Imo will also face Burhanudeen Primary School, while Jafaaru Primary School will play Mowoe Primary School.
