President of the African Round Table, Dr. Bamanga Tukur, says the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) must win the support of Nigerians if it must remain a force in Nigerian politics.

The founding member of the party said he has decided to join the race for the office of National Chairman of the PDP to help address some of the challenges facing the party.

He said the party must once again mobilize Nigerians from the grass roots and address issues such as the imposition of candidates.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is the largest political party in the country and overtime it has garnered for herself lots of accolades.

From the beginning of the democratic dispensation in the country, PDP has been the only party that has produced ruling presidents.

The PDP for several years has been tagged as not having a good agenda for this noble nation but with the crop of new ideas-driven individuals gracing this noble party, it has shown that there is a good tiding for the future of this country and the party as a whole.

Presently, there is an on-going clamour by some quarters of the PDP for Alhaji Bamanga Tukur to become the PDP national chairman.

This elder statesman can be reckoned with both nationally and internationally, as his hands-on experience was lay bare judging from his innovative ideas in the revamping and transformation of the port authority.
