After the whole day’s delay the governor’s forum meeting has just kicked off, late Wednesday evening and it is on-going now at the Rivers state governor’s lodge’ in Abuja.

In attendance at the moment are about twenty governors led by the chairman governor Rotimi Amechi of Rivers state.

The agenda of the meeting has not been made public as no governor has agreed to speak to journalists but it is believed that issues to be discussed include the proposed removal of the immunity clause by the Justice Alfa Belgore led Constitution review Committee.

The clause which shields the president his vice, governors and their deputies from prosecution while in office is said to have been slated for possible amendment by the National Assembly.

Other issues include the security situation in the country.

It is also gathered that the governors would finalise their proposal for the Constitutional amendment to the revenue sharing formula, the continued withdrawal from the federation account especially by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) and the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA).
