A group identified as Vigilant Democrats is raising security alarm on an attempt to kidnap and assassinate some prominent plateau indigenes which include the Gbong Gwom Jos, Da Jacob Gyang Buba; Bitrus Kaze, representing Jos south/Jos east federal constituency at the National Assembly, a local government chairman and son of the governor.

Addressing a press conference in Jos, Plateau state, spokesman of the group, Jonathan Pwajok alleged that some foreign mercenaries have been trained and deployed to Jos to carry out the nefarious activities.

However, the Plateau State Police Commissioner, Chris Olakpe denied knowledge of such report stressing that the police is yet to receive an official complain but has reinforced security around the mentioned personalities.
