The Cross River state governor, Liyel Imoke has challenged investors doing business in the state to partner with the state government in ensuring that it delivers qualitative education to students at all levels.

Governor Imoke was speaking at the official commissioning of Saint Augustines Primary School, Ikot Omin, Calabar Municipality in Cross River State, South South Nigeria, a donation to the state government by the management of North West Petroleum operating in the state.

Commissioning the school, Governor Imoke disclosed that, the edifice is a significant mark of development in the primary education in the state, as its well-equipped facilities and serenity will make learning process comfortable for the beneficiaries.

He thanked the brain behind the project for having chosen this particular school, which was in a sorry state, for reconstruction. The transformation, according to him, is in line with the state governments’ policy to adopt a school programme.

Paramount ruler of Calabar Municipality, Ndidem Thomas Ika Ika Oqua the 3rd further requested for an additional institution in the community to supplement the existing primary education system.

Saint Augustines Primary school presently has enrolled 1,200 students.
