As the Federal Government presents the 2014 spending plan to the lawmakers, analysts have expressed fears that the budget would not be passed on time as the bill is coming late in the year.

Speaking on Channels Television, Business Morning, a Fiscal Strategy Analyst, Mr. Eze Onyekpere  and an Economist, Mr.  Gabriel Idahosa,  were of the opinion that the political defection in the House of Representatives might also slow down the implementation of the 2014 Appropriation Bill.

They also stressed the need for the provision of resources that would be needed to ensure adequate implementation.

The Co-ordinating Minister of the Economy and the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iwaela, presented a total budget estimate of N4.6 trillion  to the lawmakers on Thursday on behalf of President Goodluck Jonathan.
