The Abia State Command of the Nigeria Police have arrested some criminals in possession of illegal arms and ammunition as and some students who came into the state to pose as political thugs.

The Commissioner of Police, Adamu Ibrahim, told journalists in Umuahia ,that the criminals were picked up from different parts of the state through an intelligent report by officers of the command.

He warned hoodlums, child traffickers and those engaged in criminal vices, who leave their abode to come into the state to cause mayhem, to stay away because the command is working tirelessly to ensure a crime free yuletide season and 2015 election
