Domestic HelpThe Director General of the National Agency for the Prohibtion of Trafficking in Persons and other Related Matters (NAPTIP), Mrs Beatrice Jeddy–Agba has warned Nigerians who engage the services of domestic helps less than 12 years would have to spend a minimum of two years in prison.

This according Mrs Jeddy -Agba is aimed at protecting the rights of Nigerian children from the hands of persons who may want to trample on their rights.

She said that the amended law establishing the agency has also stipulated stiffer penalties for those involved in trafficking of persons, sale of human organs and the recent trend of baby factories.

The NAPTIP boss also said the agency will collaborate with security agencies in upholding the rights of trafficked persons.
