Nigeria’s 
Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has given the assurance that the Federal Government will pursue economic policies that will enhance national security.

Osinbajo believes that national economic security will to a large extent contribute to a reduction in social vices.

He made this remark at a lecture on ‘Economic Dimensions of Security; The Nigerian Experience’ at the National Defence College, Abuja.

Fielding questions from participants, the Vice President highlighted policies that the present administration would pursue to ensure national security

While speaking, the Commandant of the National Defence College, Rear Admiral Samuel Alade, agreed that economic security will reduce social vices in the nation.

The National Defence College lecture series provides opportunities for experts to shed light on issues that affect Nigeria’s economic and national security.
