Governor Ortom also visited the North band axis of the state, where erosion is washing off some portions of the township roads, coupled with indiscriminate dumping of waste at a public primary school.

The team also visited the ongoing rehabilitation and construction work at the School Of Nursing and Midwifery, as the state government battles against time to secure accreditation for the school.

The Governor explained that 80% work has been completed, except for landscaping and payment of the prescribed accreditation fee.

Nursing students at the institution, have been out of school for well over Two years due to the withdrawal of accreditation, but with the pace of work, the state government believes students will return to school before the end of 2016.
