Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, has described the recent isolated bombings in Maiduguri and other parts of the state by suspected Boko Haram members as a sign of weakness.
Governor Shettima who addressing reporters in Kaduna State maintained that the terrorists have been largely defeated by the Nigerian military.
He noted that in spite of pockets of attacks in recent time, the insurgents can no longer claim any part of Borno State as their stronghold.
The Governor commended the military for their tireless effort to flush out fleeing terrorists from Nigeria’s North-East region.
He stressed the importance of good governance in curbing insecurity, as well as sustainable development and peace in all parts of the country.
