Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel on Saturday joined other residents of the state to vote in the governorship election.
The governor arrived his polling unit at Awa Ward 001, Polling Unit 01 in Onna Local Government Area of the state in the company of his wife, Martha Emmanuel.
Shortly after exercising his franchise, Emmanuel told journalists that the accreditation process was hitch-free.

He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for improving on the card readers which enabled exercise to be smooth and fast.
He also appreciated the electorates for coming out in large numbers to carry out their civic responsibility.
Governor Emmanuel is seeking re-election in office under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
His main opponent, Nsima Ekere, is of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
