Mr Bago Mohammed, an APC lawmaker in the House of Representatives has kicked against the stance of the party and its position in adopting Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, as its choice for the speaker in the ninth National Assembly.
Speaking in Abuja, Rep Mohammed insisted that he has not backed down in his pursuit for the position of Speaker in the 9th House of Representatives.
He argued the party has not addressed the issues of justice and equity being demanded by the north central geopolitical zone.

According to the lawmaker, he and his supporters are loyal to the party but believe things should be done rightly.
“When people talk about loyalty, I keep laughing. Can there be anybody more loyal to the party than we are?
“We have come with General Muhammadu Buhari from the times of the TBO, the Buhari Organization to the CPC to the merger, and to APC, now Next Level. So I think that our pedigree, our record, our cv, is too much for us to throw away at this point in time.”
He maintained that the institution of the parliament cannot be coerced.
