The Kano State Government has announced Aliyu Ibrahim Gaya as the new Emir of Gaya Emirate.
The announcement was made in the early hours of Sunday by the Secretary to the Kano State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji at the Government House.
According to Alhaji, the appointment was based on the recommendation of Gaya Emirate king makers after presenting three candidates for the position.
The decision followed the death of his father Alhaji Ibrahim Abdulkadir on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
