Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, has presented flags to all candidates under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state for the forthcoming 2023 elections.

The Governor made the presentation during the flag-off campaign of the Katsina State governorship candidate, Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda, in Faskari Local Government Area of the State on Monday.

While receiving his flag from Masari,  Dr Radda promised to secure the lives and property of Katsina citizens.

He also vowed to take care of orphans and the less privileged citizens, assuring of his readiness to improve agriculture, health, and education as well as empower youths and women in the state for better results.

“We will not disappoint you. Light has come to stay in the Katsina State. Everyone can differentiate between good and the bad, the darkness and the light,” Radda said.

Earlier, the State APC Chairman, Sani Aliyu Daura, who was impressed with the large turnout of supporters to welcome the campaign trail, called on the Radda to emulate the good qualities of Masari in order to take the state to a greater height.

He, however, urged other APC candidates to embark on aggressive mobilisation and house-to-house campaigns to deliver APC from top to bottom.

He restated the commitment of the APC to continue delivering more dividends of democracy through executing and implementing various human capital development projects and other programs aimed at bettering the lives of citizens.

According to the APC Campaign Council in the state, after the flag-off, the campaign trail will move to Baure Local Government Area in Daura Senatorial District on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in continuation of the campaign exercise which will last until Thursday, 26 January 2022 in Funtua Local Government Area of the state.

The campaign’s grand finale will take place on Monday 6th February 2022 in the state.
