The traditional ruler that was abducted in Ondo State last week; The Oloso of Oso Ajowa in Akoko North West Local Government Area, Oba Clement Omoola Jimoh has regained freedom after seven days in the kidnappers’ den.

According to a family source, the monarch was released on Wednesday, adding that he is presently undergoing medical observation in an undisclosed hospital.

Gunmen had last week Thursday invaded the palace of the monarch and forcefully abducted him, taking him to an unknown destination.

The Spokesperson of Ondo State Police Command, SP Funmilayo Odunlami confirmed the development in a telephone conversation with a Channels TV Correspondent.

The abductors had demanded 100 million naira as ransom and later reduced it to 10 million naira.

However, it was not disclosed whether a ransom was paid before the monarch was set free.
