In its continued enforcement against illegal construction in Lagos, the state government has re-sealed buildings in the Banana Island area of the state.
Occupants of the 12 affected buildings were said to have removed the seals.
Channels Television reports that the state government also demolished fences on new project sites encroaching on waterways and other parts of the estate, including some that were perforated (toked) from previous enforcement.
The General Manager of the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA), Mr Gbolahan Oki, led the enforcement team to the area on Wednesday.
He was accompanied by officials of the agency, Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority, and Lagos State Task Force.
Oki told some residents that he was sealing buildings that were without approvals and others built beyond approved setbacks.
He advised some residents to go for regularisation and others to visit LASBCA and sister agencies for requisite approvals.
