Troops Rescue Three Kidnap Victims In Taraba

The rescued persons have been reunited with their families.

Three persons who were abducted by bandits in Jalingo, Taraba State capital have been rescued by troops of 114 Battalion of the 6 Brigade, Nigeria Army.

The incident occurred Tuesday evening. This is contained in a statement issued by the 6 Brigade Commander Brigadier General Kingsley Uwa.

According to the statement, the troops acted on actionable intelligence regarding the movement of the bandits with their victims from Ardo-Kola to Yorro and then deployed its men in Apawa village of Yorro Local Government Area who trailed the armed group.

The statement further revealed that the troops displayed exceptional skills and determination by engaging the criminals with their superior firepower which compelled the bandits to flee thereby abandoning three of their victims.

He disclosed that the rescued persons have since reunited with their families as they continue to trail the kidnappers to find their hideouts and free more victims.
