Big Brother Naija Season 10 is already making headway as 29-year-old creative director Jason Jae became the first housemate to win and successfully defend the Head of House (HOH) title.
His title came as a result of a new twist introduced by Big Brother, which now requires the reigning Head of House to defend their crown just 24 hours after claiming it.
The BBNaija ‘10 Over 10’ edition began on Saturday, July 27, 2025, with the unveiling of 15 female housemates.
The following day, 14 male contestants joined the house, setting the stage for what promises to be the most competitive season yet.
With a jaw-dropping ₦150 million grand prize — the biggest since the show’s inception in 2006 — the stakes have never been higher.

Jason Jae’s HOH journey began on Sunday night during the ‘Sense of Peace’ challenge, a three-phase contest designed to test the housemates’ speed, strength, and mental agility.
The opening round featured a block-stacking challenge, where contestants recreated complex wooden block patterns.
Eight housemates advanced: Jason Jae, Thelma Lawson, Bright Morgan, Victory, Tracy, Joanna, Sultana, and Gigi.

In the second phase — the Goldbar Collection — housemates paired up to collect bars within a time frame.
Jason Jae, Joanna, Bright Morgan, and Sultana emerged victorious, earning spots in the final round.
The grand finale, dubbed the Treasure Challenge Box, required housemates to unlock a treasure chest using a single key.
Jason Jae came out on top, officially earning the HOH crown and selecting Doris to share the lounge privileges.
However, Biggie unveiled a twist: for the first time in BBNaija history, the HOH must defend their title the next day against five challengers — Sultana, Dede, Kuture, Rooboy, and Bright Morgan.
Monday’s high-stakes HOH Challenger Game pushed Jason Jae to the limit.
In a nail-biting showdown, Rooboy emerged as his fiercest competition, with both housemates racing neck-and-neck to the finish line.
But Jason Jae sealed the win with a record time of 2 minutes 44 seconds, becoming the first housemate to successfully defend the HOH title under the new rule.
Big Brother praised his performance, declaring him the fastest housemate in the house so far.
Jason Jae now returns to the HOH seat with full immunity, exclusive access to the lounge, and the power to steer nominations and influence house dynamics for another week.

This BBN season also comes with new twists beyond the Head of House rule. Host Ebuka revealed that housemates will now earn money weekly towards the ₦150 million grand prize, vote for the most impactful player each week, and compete for “trinkets” from the mysterious Tree of Trinkets—an element that could influence nominations and gameplay strategy.
Season 10 auditions began online in May 2025, followed by physical screenings in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu.
The previous edition, themed No Loose Guard, saw 33-year-old Kellyrae emerge as the first married winner, with standout housemates like Wanni X Handi, the Mbadiwe Twins, and Kassia dominating headlines.
As the curtain rises on BBNaija: 10 Over 10, fans can expect heightened drama, bold gameplay, and surprising new dynamics.
