The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Ikechukwu Aduba, says a crack team of police detectives led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, CID, Asaba are trailing those behind the murder of two legal practitioners, Mr Dafiogho Egwuono and Samuel Ekwaghanju.
Both men were killed along the lonely oil company service road in Ozoro, Delta State.
In protest of the killing, the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, had threatened to boycott all cases related to kidnapping, under the guise that the two men were killed because they served as defence lawyers in a kidnap case at Ozoro High Court.
But the State Commissioner of Police has asked the NBA to give him time to investigate properly, the cause of the murder.
He said that the Police would do its best to unravel the killing and arraign suspects in the case as soon as they are apprehended.
