The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has dissolved the 22 Local Government Caretaker committees in the state.

The dissolution was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser to Governor Nyesom Wike on Media, Opunabo Inko-Tariah said.

“The dissolution is with immediate effect. The twenty two Caretaker Committees are to handover to the various Heads of Local Government Administrations.

“The statutory three months tenure for Caretaker committees expires today (October 8, 2015)”, the statement said.
