Gunmen suspected to be hired assassins have killed the Head of Science Department at the Niger State Polytechnic, Malam Abdulrashid Abdullahi along Zungeru-Tegina road, while on official assignment to Kaduna.
The three gunmen, apparently waiting for him, on sighting his Toyota corolla car came out from their hiding, stopped the car and sprayed it with bullets, without taking anything from the slain lecturer’s car.
The Niger state Police Public Relation Officer, Richard Oguche while confirming the incident noted that the command has started investigation into the incident, with the view to finding the attackers in the interest of justice.
