The Minister of Labour, Chief Emeka Nwogu has appealed to the Nigeria Labour Congress to take advantage of the justice Alfa Belgore committee on fuel subsidy to resolve the controversy over the subsidy removal before they decide on the planned nationwide strike.

Chief Nwogu said the matter on ground is not a dispute of the rights of Nigerians but that of interest and is therefore not a reason for a nationwide strike as it can be resolved through dialogue.

He said all organised groups, especially the Nigeria labour and Trade Union Congress are aware of existing legal avenues to voice their displeasure over issues.
