The Edo State Police Command has declared Justice Daniel Okungbowa of the Edo State High Court in Benin City missing.

The Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, Moses Eguavoen told Channels Television this morning that both Justice Okungbowa and his driver left for Abuja on Monday and were yet to arrive at their destination or contact their families.

Eguavoen, who said that the Police have not ruled out the likely hood of a kidnap, however said there was no fact pointing concretely to that as the suspected kidnappers if any were yet to contact the families or relations demanding ransom as has been the case.

He however said the Police are currently investigating the matter towards resolving it.

This incident is coming less than three weeks when Human Right Lawyer Mike Ozekhomen was kidnapped on the same Benin-Abuja road.
