Samuel AbiaraGeneral Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Prophet Samuel Abiara, on Saturday called on Nigerians to intensify prayers for the nation as “prayers and only prayer can solve the problem” of terrorism in the country.

He made the call while speaking on Sunrise, stating that the government should not be blamed for the problems in the country as the many tragic events happening in the country and all over the world were signs of the End Times.

On the bomb blasts, Boko Haram claimed it was doing in the name of Allah, Abiara said “All these people attached their name as a Muslim sect,” adding that, Satan was the one using the terrorists.

Many had blamed the government for the terrorists activities, while others had said the Church had failed to intervene and obtain God’s mercy; Abiara noted that Christians were not in the position to apportion blame.

We choose not to blame anyone concerning the situation but rather urged the citizens to obey the authorities, as the Bible stated, he said, maintaining that the Bible did not give room for people to criticise the government but to cooperate with whatever decisions reached.

“We must not blame them because they are not God” and “that’s why we continue to pray for them.”

On several prayers that have been said over the nation, concerning security, Abiara said the prayers had been answered.

He stressed that the terrible incidents all over the world cannot be blamed on anyone or body and it was not as a result of the failure of the Church. He added that the events were signs of the End Times which was written about in the Bible.

Although Abiara chose not to make any prophecy about the missing Chibok girls, he said “I can assure Nigerians, they must keep their mind at rest.”
