The Nasarawa State House of 
Assembly has served the State Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-makura, an impeachment notice over alleged gross financial misconduct to the tune of N30 billion.
Despite the mass protest by indigenes and non-indigenes resident in Nasarawa State in the last 48 hours, the State House of Assembly served the impeachment notice on the Governor via substituted means.
The 16-count notice of impeachment, bordering on gross misconduct, missing Local Government SURE-P funds and extra-budgetary expenditure, signed by the 20 PDP lawmakers, was published in the newspapers.
The Clerk of the State Assembly, Mr Ego Abashe, who declined to speak on camera on Thursday, stated several attempts that were made to serve the Governor the impeachment notice in person.
Part of the directive given by the Speaker, Musa Mohammed, on Monday when the resolution from made was to serve the Governor via substituted means in the event of his unavailability.
