A former Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, General Abdusalami Abubakar, is to commission five major projects in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday, October 8, 2014.

This is part of activities marking the fourth anniversary of the Dr. Kayode Fayemi administration.

According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Olayinka Oyebode, the former Head of State would be commissioning the Erinjiyan Water Treatment Plant at Erinjiyan-Ekiti, accompanied by the State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and other prominent citizens.

He would also commission the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) Library; the Works Department and the General Out Patient Department of the Teaching Hospital, as well as the Administrative Building of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Ado-Ekiti.

General Abubakar is well respected for his successful transition to civil rule programme that culminated in the current democratic dispensation in 1999.
