The Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone 2, Mr Joseph Mbuh, has warned men and officers of the Ogun State Police Command against any form of malpractices during the forth coming general elections, asking them to maintain a high standard of professionalism and integrity
He was speaking in Abeokuta, the state capital during a familiarization tour of the State Police Command rounded off with an address on the forth coming general elections
While asking them to be civil in all of their dealings, the AIG also read the riot act to officers, asking them to do everything humanly possible to ensure a free, credible and violence free elections
Mr Mbu also urged the officers to be more dedicated to duty and maintain a high sense of discipline, especially in the face of image problems confronting the police in recent times.
The AIG, however, challenged politicians in the state to play by the rules of the game in the interest of peace and unity.
