amosunThe Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun has been sworn in for a second term in office at a ceremony held at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, the state capital.

The Governor and his Deputy took the oath of allegiance and oath of office  administered by the Chief Judge of the state, Mrs Olatokunbo Olopade.

Delivering his inaugural speech, the governor promised to focus more on developmental projects that would improve the socio economic and political fortunes of the state

Addressing the crown which included traditional rulers, members of the civil societies, family members, well wishers, market men and women, the governor solicited the understanding and cooperation of the people of the state to ensure the success of his administration’s second term.

The governor  promised more development in his second coming with the completion of the on going projects across the three senatorial districts of the state, especially the development of the state light rail project and deep seaport.

His call for all hands to be on deck was not, however, lost, as the state Head of Service, speaking on behalf of the state workforce, promised the unflinching support of the state workers
