The Ekiti State Police Command has paraded two suspected fraudsters, Ola Idega and Abdulsalam Hassan, who it alleged attempted to dupe Governor Ayodele Fayose.
The suspects, whom have been charged to court, attempted to dupe Governor Fayose over the military panel investigation set up on the 2014 governorship election in the state.
They were paraded at the Ekiti State Police Command, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State capital, on Monday.
The suspects had presented a 57 page document bearing the address and logo of the Nigerian Army to convince Governor Fayose that they have information about the report of the military panel that investigated the alleged partisanship of soldiers during the governorship election in 2014.
In a press briefing at the Ekiti State Police Command, the Commissioner of Police, Etop James, said that most of the documents found with the suspects, were fake including army logo and identity cards.
The suspects, however, said that they forged all the classified document to gain access to the Governor.
