The Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello, has ordered political appointees aspiring for elective offices to resign their appointments forthwith.
In a statement by the Information Officer to the Secretary to Niger State Government, Lawal Tanko, the governor’s directive was given at the weekly meeting of the State Executive Council which was held at the Government House on Wednesday.
The governor decided to relieve the appointees of their positions to enable them to pursue their ambition ahead of the 2019 general elections.
He, however, appreciated them for their tremendous contributions to the growth and development of the state.
