Council Chairman Raises Alarm Over Plot To Incite Crisis In Kaduna LG

Barely 24 hours after gunmen attacked a village in Kajuru Local Govt Area of Kaduna State, there’s been another attack on three other communities in the local government.

Gunmen were said to have attacked Iri, Dogon Noma and Ikirimi communities in the early hours of Monday.

The police confirmed the case to Channels Television although the number of casualties is yet to be confirmed.

An indigene of the area also told Channels Television that the attack occurred simultaneously in the three villages in what seemed like a reprisal attack.

According to him, the gunmen invaded the villages around 7:00 am and began to shoot sporadically, causing the residents to scamper for safety.

On Sunday, there was a similar attack in Ungwar Barde Village which left several people dead and others injured.

Several communities in Kajuru LGA have been under heavy attack since the beginning of the year, with many linking it to an unending feud between the people of Adara tribe and the Fulanis.
