The chairmen of the 16 Local Government Areas in Kwara State have described their suspension by the state governor, Abdulrahman Abdurasak as unconstitutional and a complete waste of time.
Addressing journalists in the state on Wednesday, the Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria, Joshua Adekanye noted that there is a pending court order which prohibits the government from taking such an action.
He also wondered why the governor would give such order when according to him, their tenure does not expire until November next year.
