Ahead the forthcoming general elections, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has launched over one hundred grassroot support groups and vote canvassers in Kaduna Central Senatorial District.
Speaking during the inauguration of the support groups, the PDP Senatorial Candidate in the zone, Lawal Usman, said the groups will be mobilized to the grassroots to sensitise members of the party and also canvass for votes for the PDP before the election.
He also insisted that the PDP in Kaduna state is more united than ever to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress, which he says has brought severe hardship to the citizens.

Among other things, he promised that the PDP led government will tackle the security challenges that have bedeviling many parts of Kaduna central zone as well as creating a conducive environment for the people to carry on with their daily activities.
Also speaking at the event, a PDP chieftain and a former Member of Kaduna State House of Assembly , Mrs Maria Dogo, laments that the country has witnessed unprecedented retrogression under the watch of the APC especially in the areas of insecurity and dwindling economy, adding that the masses ate willing and determined to vote for PDP in order to correct the situation.
