Hassan Abubakar Assumes Office As Chief Of Air Staff

The newly appointed Air Chief assured Nigerians that the armed forces are building a synergy to combat all forms of security threats in the country.

Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar has assumed office as the Chief of Air Staff, three days after President Bola Tinubu, announced the retirement and replacement of the service chiefs.

Abubakar assumed office following the official handing over ceremony by his predecessor, Air Vice Marshal Oladayo Amao at the Nigerian Air Forces headquarters in Abuja.

The newly appointed Air Chief assured Nigerians that the armed forces are building a synergy to combat all forms of security threats in the country.

According to him, most of the new service chiefs are from the same course 39, hence it will make synergy easier for the armed forces.

Abubakar is the 22nd Chief of Air Staff.

On his part, Air Marshal Amao said despite the challenges his tenure recorded many successes.

He urged his successor to ensure the service attain a greater height under his watch.
