Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has granted pardon to six prison inmates in commemoration of Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.

The governor said the inmates demonstrated significant improvement in behaviour and conduct, which informed his decision to exercise the constitutional prerogative of mercy.

He said he acted in line with recommendations from the Adamawa State Advisory Council on Prerogative of Mercy.
