The popular Nigerian Hip hop group P Square which comprises Peter, Paul and Jude Okoye, in an interview with BBC London, cleared the air on the issue between them and Akinmayokun Awodumila, popularly known as May D.

According to the manager of the group, Jude Okoye “We didn’t sack him we just let him go”

Square Records last week released a press statement announcing the end of their business relationship with the only other artist on their label, Mr May D.

According to the statement, the split is due to the irreconcilable differences between the two parties. The Okoyes further wished May D all the best in his career.

Reacting to the statement, May D said “I don’t know what they are talking about …you know I don’t stay in their house so how am I meant to know this?”

May D was signed by the label some months ago and has released few hit tracks under the label including ‘Ile Ijo’, ‘Soundtrack’, and the remix he did with Akon and P-Square.
