Eighth day fidau prayers have been held for the repose of the soul of governor Babatunde Fashola’s father, Ibrahim Fashola.

The event was attended by governors from the north and south west, as well as the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, religious and traditional leaders and other dignitaries pay their last respects to the governor’s father.

Late Ibrahim Fashola died on august 5, 2013 at the age of 80 years at an undisclosed hospital while the governor was away in Saudi Arabia for the lesser Hajj.

The deceased survived by children, grandchildren and great-grand children among whom is the Lagos State Governor, Mr.Babatunde Fashola (SAN), Arinola Fuwa, Olayinka Fashola, Ademola Fashola, Omolara Fashola, Adewale Fashola, Ademola Fashola Jnr. and Ademola Keji Fashola.
